CNA Certification Employer Recognition Award and Memorial Book

Employer Recognition Award

Each year, the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) gives one health-care facility the Employer Recognition Award for exemplary, sustained support of the CNA Certification Program and CNA-certified registered nurses (RNs).

To be eligible for the award, employers must be nominated by a current CNA-certified RN or certification candidate; be nominated by a group of CNA-certified RNs and/or candidates with the same employer; or nominate themselves.

The award allows employers to be publicly recognized for supporting their nurses and CNA certification. In addition to the recognition the award brings to employers — in journals (such as Canadian Nurse), in nursing conference materials and on the CNA website — award-winning employers also receive a framed certificate and a complimentary registration to the next CNA’s Biennial.

CNA Memorial Book

Submission deadline January 30, 2017

Each page of the Memorial Book describes the contributions of some of Canada’s honoured nurses, who, in service to their fellow Canadians, elevated the nursing profession and health care in this country. Recipients are selected through a nomination process. Their names are added to the book and they are honoured publicly at CNA’s biennial convention. Submit a Nomination
