ARNNL Contract Opportunity

The Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (ARNNL) is seeking an individual(s) to complete a two-part project leading to the evaluation of ARNNL’s Continuing Competence Program (CCP).

ARNNL’s Continuing Competence Program has implemented since 2010 and a CCP audit process since 2014. Under Section 17 of the RN Regulations (2013), registered nurses and nurse practitioners are expected to participate in the CCP program each licensure year and provide all information requested in the conduct of the audit.

The contract will contain two parts:

Part A:
  • Conduct a targeted literature review.
  • Conduct a review of other Regulatory Bodies and Associations to identify types of Continuing Competence/Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Prepare a report of findings of the review, including recommendations.
 
Part B:
  • In collaboration with an ARNNL consultant, develop and conduct a survey of ARNNL practicing members to evaluate ARNNL’s current Continuing Competence Program. ARNNL will facilitate the distribution of the survey to members.
  • Prepare a report of an analysis of the findings, including recommendations.
 
Qualifications:
  • Possess a Master’s degree or graduate-level education;
  • Possess research experience;
  • Have familiarity with continuing competence programs and self-regulation;
  • Able to facilitate using a collaborative, team-based approach; and
  • Able to coordinate activities in a timely and efficient manner.
